How to delete contact detail?

asked 2014-03-18 09:39:58 +0300

One of my contacts changed his phone number. I am not able to delete I in the edit dialog in contacts application. The contacts is linked from few contacts.

Additionally, Is there way to detect wrongly merged meta contact? I.e. to distinguish which contact details belong to which source inside of meta contact? E.g. I have facebook contact JM of and google contact of JM. I merged the contact into single contact JM. There is a phone number in contact JM. I want to know if it is downloaded from google or from facebook, because my friend JM hates facebook and enters fake credentaials, but his contact picture is much nicer then google one. (-;

If the detail is added in Jolla you can remove it by touching long on the detail. A menu containing the remove option will appear. If the contact is imported from eg. google contacts you can't edit or remove a detail.. must be done in google.

At least thats what it looks like to me...

@ Rusnak-COBRA - I can't comment about imported 'Google contacts' as I have none. It doesn't sound right to me, but perhaps this is just another workaround until the bug is fixed (assuming it is a bug). I don't use facebook on my phone either. Yes, I recall who you are now. I believe you created the alphanumeric keypad for N9 and I kept asking/bugging everyone to make it so it used T9 dictionary. I got used to the QWERTY keyboard with N9 and now Jolla. A nice T9 based 4x3 keypad would still be nice though, for me it is a really quick way to text/type. I personally feel that Ohijarvi has bought the phone to life and so it should, as it is touted as 'out of beta'. My Jolla is my only phone, I sold my N9 just before xmas to fund Jolla purchase :)

@Markkyboy: You asked what I really wanted to do :) T9 based KB. But I was unable to make it with T9. Same I'd like to see on Jolla (I'll prrobably make alphanumeric here too once I'll have a time, but T9? I can only dream about it). Regarding contacts, that is one of litthe things that can simply piss you off even if you're happy enough for not having Android / WP / iOS.
