Frame rate significantly drops if there are more events in the calendar application [released]
See the screenshots, the calendar app feels really sluggish if we have events for each day. Please point it out if this is reported before.
We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

The calendar UI can become quite complex and as a result, the graphics stack gets to struggle a bit. We are working on moving the stack to Qt 5.2 which will bring a new renderer (http://blog.qt.digia.com/blog/2013/09/02/new-scene-graph-renderer/). This move, in addition to other performance improvements, should help Calendar to perform like the rest of the UI.
I can't say when we'll have an update out based on Qt 5.2, but it hopefully isn't too far away.

droll ( 2014-03-18 11:52:13 +0300 )editI do not think it was reported before. Agree that it is the most unsmooth app. Also many features missing (see https://together.jolla.com/question/1289/to-dos-in-native-calendar-app/ and https://together.jolla.com/question/27716/enable-edit-of-single-occurrence-event-for-repeating-calendar-event/ and https://together.jolla.com/question/23743/recurring-calendar-entries-end-date/)
Neo ( 2014-03-18 20:35:28 +0300 )editI just noticed this as well, I don't think it was like that before the update.
nthn ( 2014-03-19 17:00:39 +0300 )editIf I remember correctly it was like that before the update.
gexc ( 2014-03-19 17:21:39 +0300 )editPersists after 1.0.5.16, even if the 'GPU performance tweak' is used.
