No call history shown after 1.0.4.20 update [not relevant]

The phone app doesn't show the calls before the update and I missed a call this morning (shown in the notification area), but even this is not shown. I tried reboot, backup "phone app settings" and restore, whcih didn't helped. I changed the quick call settings, too. From some point it started to put new calls in the history, but I'm not sure, why.

Has anybody similar problems with the call history?

Where are the calls saved on the device? Would like to check that from cli/ssh

After update my phone list is still there back to 03 Jan 14.

I also miss the call history of received calls. or are they just well hidden?
