It would be nice to be able to control music from the lock screen, like: next song, previous song, pause/resume Like on the good old N9 :)

Released in 1.1.9.28

Please provide a generic API so that other music players like Spotify can use that too (unlike good old N9 :)

This is among the best features of N9 and a true time saver.

it could be awesome if we could change the destination of volume buttons! volume up = next song, volume down = pause

@berto89 I think that volume button in your config will be unconfortable,I' very confortable with N9 lock screen player and button only for volume

Currently being worked on, I suppose it will be released in update 11 or 12: https://lists.sailfishos.org/pipermail/devel/2015-January/005512.html

In the meantime you can use this patch by coderus to get media player controls on the lock screen. You will need patchmanager installed.

with a bit of luck this is related to the recent introduction of MPRIS dbus interface to the Jolla-Media app, which is already supported by community efforts

I don't see why you would need to unlock the phone to press "next"...
