After the os update to 1.0.4, my Jolla can't connect to mobile data while roaming. German carrier in France, last week it worked.

With the Jolla 1.0.7.16 software version I'm having HUGE problems with 3G/4G data roaming aswell.
I have a Finnish Saunalahti (Elisa) SIM card, which works OK in Finland.
Last week I travelled to Norway (Oslo area), and the Jolla phone was almost totally unusable. I wasn't able to enable data roaming, most of the times. Sometimes randomly I was able to get the data roaming enabled, but then it'd only last up/enabled for some minutes, and then it'd die again. And then I'd have to try enabling it 10 times and rebooting many times before I was able to enable it again for a short while. Also the Jolla phone kept crashing (rebooting) itself at least 20x per day. Very very annoying.
Now I'm back to Finland (no data roaming), and Jolla 3G/4G data connection works OK again..
Data roaming seems to work better now with the latest 1.0.8.19 firmware..

Could be related to roaming, cant't figure out anything else. Phone reboots itself 10 times a day and mostly it goes dead/black si that only removing battery helps. have never before removed battery and i have had jolla from last year. But now i have to do it srveral times a day. Very often jolla goes dead when using camera si it's very announing at turist trip as it's my only camera.
problems with wlans and mobile networks is very huge while roaming!!
tace ( 2014-03-27 11:15:12 +0300 )editI was just in Croatia and had this problem. I'm not 100% certain it was a Jolla thing, and not an operator issue (using Finnish DNA on a prepaid card), but if others are seeing it, I guess the former looks more likely.

siggi_digital ( 2014-03-30 22:46:38 +0300 )editI have roamed in several countries with Jolla (Germany, UK) with Finnish Elisa SIM card and consistently have issues with data connection. It works after many many many tries and seems to stay working after first initial success. My gut feel is that the mobile visited network needs some time to obtain packet data related credentials from the home network, and Jolla times out too quickly during roaming case. Maybe it is as simple as that, maybe it is not.
The phone overall does feel a lot more unstable when roaming, cant quite pinpoint what it is that made me feel that. Maybe that is related to older firmware so I would comment further when I get to roam again with this latest firmware.
