Since I have some eyesight problems I would like to suggest the following.

  1. in the latest update ( there is a very better keyboard. The letters are extremely more readable than before for people like me with eyesight problems. White letters on a dark background are very good. The best would be an option to have a keyboard similar to the N9 one: completely black with white letters, but the latest Sailfish keyboard is fine too. Suggestion: if you choose to change the keyboard layout in future updates, please keep an option to set a keyboard layout like the one!

  2. it would be useful in order to reduce eyesight problems to have some accessibility option like the ones we have in iOS 7.1, they are very good (I don't know how Android is about this subject). Specifically I mean options to set contrast, to decrease the white point, to darken system colours (as I stated before, keep an eye to iOS 7.1).

Please consider eyesight difficulties in your future updates, it's important for people like me. Maybe we aren't a very big number, but we exist and use smartphones!

I put here a link to another question that is about text readability, if someone wants to contribute there too:

I agree, contrast was low. Reading sms / email or calling a contact in daylight is impossible too.

There are many questions on this subject already. Because this subject is such important, you should not dilute user votes but concentrate them on one of the questions already there. Due to its openess for further ideas, one of the best seems to be

@jgr I think this forum is too dispersive, I just haven't the time to check between hundreds of questions. I checked if there was something related to eyesight problems since this is the subject of my concern and I didn't find anything, so I posted my suggestion. Anyway, thanks for your comment and for the link.

Readability has improved a lot with the latest update. However reading your own sent text messages is a challenge . Accessibility options are essential for broader appeal.

@Gabir: " is too dispersive," I know. Checking for existing entries is required none-the-less (or even: "is required the more", to minimize dispersion).

I suggest: Edit your question such to direct the reader to the earlier question you like most and close your one. This way you can concentrate votes.
