Call finished: loud alert and unappropriate message

When I call someone and the someone does not answer then there is a sound notification taa-taa-taa in three pitches.

When using headset and volume is turned lowest I still hear sound that hurts my ears. Apparently volume does not apply to notifications?

Secondly, I get message: "network error" while more appropriate would be "call finished etc".

Though unrelated, noticed when someone calls me and I push vol up or vol down - it has no effect on current ringing sound volume.

Either these are bugs or too counter-intuitive.

I have exactly the same problem!!! Every time i end a call, i hear a very loud sound that hurts my ears. The taa-taa-taa in three pitches sound is probably send by your network provider at the end when no connection is established and the phone rightly assumes it is a network error because there was no connection established.

You can always adjust the ringtone volume in settings with the 'default ringtone volume' slider.

When you call someone and they're not answering, but you still keep it ringing, the network will cut off the connection for you. Then you get the message network error with an extremely annoying loud warning sound. Happens to any phone, not bug. Ringtone can be silenced by pulley menu from the bottom (with red marking)

So as I can understand, phone network does not make difference of not answering and other kind of conditions? If this is default, still the message could be something more "appropriate" like "no answer" etc. If I see "network error" it makes me think my service provider / operator is bad.

If you hang up the phone yourself, you're "finishing the call". If you keep the call ringing and ringing, your network/service provider/operator automatic cuts the connection when it's reached a certain time. I'm pretty sure this has been so for at least the past 20-30 years, even back then with old-fashioned analog phone. I assume it's to free up network capacity (so that the line will be available even if someone at the other end forgets to hang up). So it's your network provider/operator sending the signal.

And like @karlefr before me explained: no connection established is a network error. It also includes when the network is actually down for example.
