I have just faced a problem, when listening to some music, that some songs are louder some are quietter, forcing me to change volume every couple of songs. Please add the option to normalize volume in the Media App!

Sure, why not. But please keep it configurable! I have no such issues, and don't want the sound subsystem to mess with my music unnecessarily.

This isn't an answer, so please convert it to a question comment.

ReplayGain solves this, but I dont know whether the default audio player of Sailfish supports it. If it doesnt, it should.

EDIT: With GStreamer being updated to 1.0 release, maybe this can be revisited with the latest replaygain plugin.

As far as i can judge, it doesn't

Gstreamer (which is what the media player is based on AFAIK) has a replaygain plugin so it should be easy to implement.

Well then, lets hope Jolla will add ReplayGain support! It really is a must for any music player that wants people to take it seriously.

Is anyone aware whether QuasarMX from https://www.meteorasoftworks.com/ supports this, as it is also available for SailfishOS?

Quasar MX doesn't support ReplayGain
