Hi

What i was missing today is the that the browser and the e-mail.app recognize phone numbers and dates.

two request:

  1. browser and e-mail.app should recognize phone numbers => klick and dial.

  2. browser and e-mail.app should recognize weekday, date, time => klick and make a record in calendar.app

thank for your consideration.

"klick and dial." NO! The chances for mistakes are too high. There should be a confirmation first. E.g. Enter the number into the dialer but have the user tap the call button.

Same applies for record in calendar app (I do not even use this app so far because I cannot synch it -- so I do not want it to clog up with unwanted entries).

Same wish but in a more general way: https://together.jolla.com/question/21267/crazy-feature-request-global-content-recognition/

Also: https://together.jolla.com/question/22765/phone-number-from-web-browser/

As for accidental calls, I think a long press on a phone number to bring up options (call, add to contact) would be fine. Same for calendar. It would be annoying if you're taken to the phone app when accidentally tapping on a phone number, even if it doesn't dial automatically.

Despite my comment been bit off topic => But should the problem of recognizing the normal web links be fixed first, before adding new link related features SF browser?

I still have the normal web link issue with many sites i.e. www.together.jolla.com, www.ampparit.com, www.nimenhuuto.com to just name a few.

Also the www.mtv.fi as well as www.saunalahti.fi sites are very nasty to use/view with Jolla browser currently.

agree, me too, I miss a phone number recognize feature. From android calendars, this feature does not work (of course), what a pity!
