Greetings.

Maybe this problem is related with other WLAN/3G problems posted already. But not sure.

I experienced it first with Mitäkuuluu and now with the Whatsapp app in the Android emulator, so I think is a general error. The thing is: when phone is inactive for some time (let's say half-one hour), those apps stop updating and the only way for they to recover connection is restarting them or changing the connection (for example from WLAN to 3G). There are no other sings of connectivity problems (all icons show OK).

Thanks for your time.

I wonder if this is a problem of WhatsApp itself. The past month I heard from several people that WhatsApp goes inactive after a while and it's therefore necessary to re-open the app to receive new messages. Might be a coincidence, but it's probable that iOS and Android users face same problem.

It could be. But my friends and family do intensive use of WhatsApp and I haven't heard nothing from them. Also, if it is a problem with the app, Mitäkuuluu should be free from it (still ii could be a server-side/communication/protocol problem). I am going to ask around anyway. Thanks.

Maybe it's related of jolla getting in suspend after X time of inactivity?

Happens with the LINE messenger too. Sometimes, the app starts displaying "No network connection", and it can only reconnect when I manually produce some network activity, like updating the email. Sometimes not even that helps it recover connectivity, and the app must be restarted.

ZogG likely, considering Camil B comment.
