While travelling I have noticed regular situations where WiFi seems to have stopped working. When I bring up the Connect to Internet from WLAN settings nothing is shown. If I press Search, it flashed momentarily and reports nothing was found. It clearly does not try to properly search. I try switching Flight Mode on and off, but it makes no difference. Only a reboot will get it working again.

This might actually be related to Flight Mode going off and on as I've seen it happen when coming off a plane and trying to find an airport WiFi.

I've had times like these as well, but have never used flight mode before .

I had a similar issue today. The phone refuses get or search for any wifi. Problem was cured only after phone reset.

On other hand I see that connman is still at a old version 1.15, while latest is 1.21

[root@Jolla nemo]# connmand -v

(process:6459): GLib-WARNING : goption.c:2199: ignoring no-arg, optional-arg or filename flags (32) on option of arg-type 0 in entry (null):systemd **1.15

I systematically have the issue when I am trying to connect to free wifi in airports (geneva, paris, amsterdam). For each of them, there is a need to enter code or a agree terms & conditions in the web browser. The first time I am searching for networks, the connections works (with good signal), but after a few seconds, connection disappear. Searching for new networks finds no networks. Rebooting the phone solves the issue.

I also noticed the same issue with hotel wifi, although I don't remember if I had to enter a code in the web browser.

There is an earlier case for the same bug .

Really annoying issue which should have been fixed long ago. It is obvious that at least a workaround automatically to detect it and restart WiFi can be implemented. Right now the only alternative to reboot is to use wlan-reset app, which still requires manual intervention.

Update 11 brought in a lot of n/w improvements - Is this still valid or can it be closed? Also, instead of reboot, Utilities > Network Restart could be used.
