Hi,

Unfortunately by beloved Jolla doesn't boot anymore. When powered on all i see is Jolla logo and then nothing. Tried to remove and reinstall battery and boot again still nothing.

I found instructions here on how to connect by phone to computer and enable recovery mode. However when i try to connect to my phone via telnet i only get message:

[ezal@localhost ~]$ telnet 10.42.66.80
Trying 10.42.66.80...
telnet: connect to address 10.42.66.80: Connection refused

Everything seems to be ok. Phone has an ip address. Usbnet module is found when checked it with lsmod. It even answers ping...

[ezal@localhost ~]$ ping 10.42.66.80
PING 10.42.66.80 (10.42.66.80) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 10.42.66.80: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=3.00 ms
64 bytes from 10.42.66.80: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.134 ms

What can i do next?

thanks.

ezal

I had the same issue and this guide helped perfectly. For anyone that may come across a booting issue, us this

I have the same problem: phone only shows Jolla logo at boot up.

I can access the phone with telnet but also get the can't mount error as stated in the posting above.

So what is the solution now with this piece of shit phone that by design doesn't provide a proper hard reset procedure?

@ Samsomfan I get that you are frustrated, but could you please consider contacting Jolla Care instead of spamming 3 threads with the same aggressive remarks?

I contacted Jolla Care and got a completely useless answer - just like the one from you.

in the manual i've seen lately the ip was 10.42.66.66. so try to connect to it. if this wont help you can check the arp table to find the right address of your jolla.

Or try a ping scan with nmap. nmap -sP 10.42.66.0/24 should do that trick
