After updating to 1.0.5.16 I can not get word predictions when typing on my Jolla. I use custom keyboards and custom layouts.conf file as my native Bulgarian language is not officially supported. Also I do not see words I had typed being added to neither English nor Bulgarian dictionaries. I am not sure if this is a real "bug" or it is just me messing up with my device. Although the way I was using it was OK during all the previous updates.
EDIT: I found here that the location to dictionaries is /home/nemo/.local/share/xt9/ - I do not have such a folder on my device. Tried creating it manually ans restarting maliit, but nothing changed.

Same problem for me (Swiss French - French VKB), I hope there is a workaround.

Solution found at TMO: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1421079&postcount=251

In your .conf file, you have to keep the languageCode to something standard, for example:

languageCode=FR
languageCode=EN
languageCode=ES

etc.

And add the line handler=Xt9InputHandler.qml if using custom layouts-conf file.

I always keep the language codes to standard. In my case problem was the new line added: handler=Xt9InputHandler.qml As I just replaced the layouts.conf file with my usual custom one. Now I have to rebuild my Bulgarian language DB :)

This bug (to loose the text prediciton for all customer adjusted languages, in this case BG) is still presented after every single SFOS update. Couldnt this be fixed, jolla guys? Its just 3 lines of text (not even code) per language ...

indeed it is very simple to be fixed by Jolla but very.annoing task to be done after every update...
