In calendar application, manage calendar section there is not listed any shared Google calendars. All own calendars are listed.

I tried with Google calendar API tester that those shared calendars are available in listing but for some reason Jolla's calendar application doesn't either fetch that list or is ignoring them.

EDIT 2016-10: in v2.0.4 the app still doesn't show shared google calendars (read only) but only shared google calendars (read/write)

EDIT 2016-12: in v2.0.5 the app still doesn't show shared google calendars (read only) but only shared google calendars (read/write)

I agree this would be very useful. I use shared calendars with my coworkers and family on a daily basis.

This issue is the worst problem I currently have with my Jolla, fix would be very much appreciated.

Any update on this issue? We share calendars at home and at work and it's really annoying not having a calendar on my phone.

This is still not fixed and we're at version 1.1.1.27 of Sailfish now.

The shared calendars with write access will be synced in one of the next updates. The patch is merged https://github.com/nemomobile/buteo-sync-plugins-social/pull/49

Update 2016-07-30: Finally, the patch is in Aurajoki 2.0.2

Nice to hear.

Will it work with calendars with just reading access, too?

Or Did I overread something? Still can't see shared calendars.

Me ether. Is there any update on it?

alvarex ( 2016-07-10 23:04:42 +0300 )edit

No it will only work, if you have write permissions to the calendar, but that is a progress to what is available. Till now you can only see your own calendars. It is available from version 0.1.37

Currently 0.1.36.1 is included in Taalojärvi You can check the version from command line

Okay, thank you. Good to see that there is progress on it. Right now my Business Partner and I are sharing our private calendars without the ability to see the details of a specific event to keep private events private.

If I have write access on a calendar, I can also see the title and the details. So there is at the moment no possibility to check on my jolla phone if my partner is available. So in fact I can't arrange any appointments outside of my office :/ Do you know, if there is further progress on that issue in the near future?

Can one share that to Live calendar and then link to Jolla? Used to play around couple of years ago.

Probably same root cause as https://together.jolla.com/question/38887/bug-calendar-entries-synced-from-google-account-with-multiple-calendars-dont-have-a-calendar-assigned-in-the-mkal-db-and-are-not-shown-in-the-calendar/#comment-55180 tracking them together.

Unlikely, at the moment google synchronization only syncs calendars owned by the user.

will this problem be fixed some day? is there an ETA?

d0nEgg1 ( 2014-09-04 15:09:48 +0300 )edit

When using symbian phones I had to choose to share calendarmark with my wife, if I didn't she didn't see it at her phone. Now it seemes to be quite similar situation. We can see each others calendarmarks done by Jolla, when we sign in google account using computer, but it's not shown in Jolla's calendar. Should there be option to select share and to who (maybe also option share always to...) or similar? Hopefully you can resolve this soon.

I'm also experiencing this problem. It's the only reason I still have google calendar as a bookmark, instead of using the built in Jolla calendar
