Gmail categories

When I access gmail with my browser there is categories such as primary, social, promotions and forums.

Is there any way I can access these categories through the mail client on the Jolla? Is it possible to only get notification for some of these categories?

Unfortunately there's no way to retrieve those categories over IMAP, also Google is keeping the API closed without any plans to open it, nothing we can do at the moment.
