Jolla published a ringtone on their hijacked website. How can a normal user install this as new ringtone by only using jolla phone with the basic applications?

Does USB connectivity require Developer Mode? Just wondering...

@LVPVS 'only using Jolla' would mean without any additional accessories like USB cable. lest a separate PC!

At least, I was able to listen to the piece (but even for this, I had to share the URL as e-mail and send it to myself). The file may be available somewhere in the cache now, however File Browser did not find it.

Use webcat from harbour store, to download and then select from settings. edit: webcat is surly not a basic app, with jolla browser only i dunno.

Just downloaded the ringtone on my Jolla via the Webcat browser. Go to jolla website and hold participate for a few seconds then choose " open in new window" then you see download jolla ringtone on the website , click on it and you click the download symbol and you have it on your Jolla.

I think the point of the question was that it's impossible (or at least no solution found yet) to download a ringtone published by Jolla to a phone made by Jolla without using a third-party app... which is kind of funny.

@ssahla I know but the title says without dev mode and android apps. And what are the basic apps(the ones that are on the phone when you bought it,there are only six or just Jolla apps).
