Hi All,

At 1.0.4.20 I was able to happily use BBS iPlayer and Netflix android apps. Since upgrade to 1.0.5.16 these apps no longer work.

BBC iPLayer will load the program screens but cannot seem to start streaming, and eventually freezes and becomes unresponsive to the point when the only option is to kill the app. I have version 3.1.0.748 loaded via aptoide.

Netflix never gets past the loading screen - I haven't even got the sign in screen yet. I have 3.3.2 build 1467 loaded via aptoide.

Do these apps work for anyone else?

Any advice on how to trouble shoot this?

After the latests Hotfix (mainly to improve MMS) Netflix now works fine with my phone. Try if it also works for you. Edit: To clarify above I mean 1.0.5.19-version of Sailfish.

Netflix still not working - does not get beyond the loadup screen. Which version of netflix do you have installed and from which market?

I was able to watch one movie with 1.0.5.19 Sailfish and Netflix version 3.3.3 build 1474. When I tried again it wouldn't work. So back to square one..

Sadly I've hit the same problem as Astireloth, same version number from 1mobile. Only worked once after the latest update, now can't even login. Such a shame.

One more Netflix user waiting for the fix. Is Yle Areena affected also as it has been stopped to work?

@PJW_2273 Unfortunately it's not publicly available.

Just to say I have had the exact same problems as @PJW_2273

I have updated both the BBC Iplayer app and the BBC media app required for streaming to the latest versions 3.3.1.2 & 2.2.1 respectively and while the app loads when you select a program it just freezes after that in streaming mode.

Netflix gives the following fault message after trying to load for some time: "sorry, we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. (-9)" Seems like some other android users have had this error message from doing some googling. The solution for the android users running netflix with this error msg appeared to be to clear the netflix cache. After clearing it, you will then just login again and it should work as normal.

I've already tried the android cache cleaner app but without appropriate access this didn't work. Does anyone know how/where to clear the netflix cache on Jolla so we can try this?

Could the iplayer issue have something to do with the flash player version ? The flash player version we had installed previously was for android ICS and was version 11.1.115.69. http://www.jollatides.com/2013/12/22/tutorial-get-adobe-flash-running-on-your-jolla/

Does anyone know if the Dalvik runtime has been updated to Jelly Bean now ? If so we would probably need to update to the appropriate flash player version?
