I have two mail accounts on my Jolla: One Gmail for personal stuff, one Exchange for work. I would like to be able to set a default account for new messages (with the exception of when a new message is created from a specific account view in the mail app; the current behavior).

Here's a use-case: I'm in gallery, I want to share a picture via e-mail.

When the mail composition screen comes up, my Exchange mail is always selected, even though I very rarely want to send pictures from that one. Worse, it's not immediately visible what account is being used, but I don't want to use my work account to share, say, pictures of good partying. It could even get me fired if the partying was really great... :-) And since I may not be running at full mental capacity when I want to share something in the middle of great partying the road to disaster lies open before me.

Please help me keep my job! :-)

There's already a question for this problem... including a work-around: https://together.jolla.com/question/960/how-to-set-default-from-mail-address/

Ah, lovely. I actually tried typing "default mail account" in the search box on this page, but got no hits. Plus, it expands the spaces to "%20"... I guess it's "beta", like SailfishOS :-)

The work around should be re-worked into an answer, and voted as a solution. It was hard to find now.
