low volume during calls

I can't help it, but I hardly can make a call with my Jolla the volume turned all the way up during a call.

Is there a known bug which is on the roadmap to solve this?

Is there a way to normalize the sound during calls, or a way to further amplify it?

I have to state it is not dead quiet, but I can not understand my own wife during a call if I am not in a closed office enviroment.

Update: I called my phone operator and the volume at maximum I hardly could understand them in my office. It was more quiet than my wife. And there is no traffic next to the office but a few birds singing. My system is up to date.

Same here. During calls I almost understand nothing because of the too low volume of the earpiece. Since I have my Jolla, the volume never was very loud. But now, I think after the latest Udate 1.1.7.25, it is really getting worse! Any solution to max the volume by software or at least to check the adjusments? Please help! Thanks!

I had some other problem with random reboots on the phone and this solution fixed it. One thing I noticed after applying the solution is that the earpiece became louder afterwards. So maybe you could try it to see if it helps.

Call volume is generally very good and loud for me. I usually keep it slightly down(2-3 clicks) as otherwise it is too high in quiet environment. Seems to be HW problem on your handset.

I need some way to clarify if it is hardware related before I contact Jolla Care. How do I do this? Jolla CSD tool only tests whether it plays sound or not, and not the sound level.

I did a factory reset yesterday, and the volume got better, double at least. I am still using it on maximum during calls, but finally I can make phone calls. I still need a way to test if the software can be tweaked or not.

Did this ever got figured out? My sound is low, and I'm not looking forward to factory resetting...

I'm having the same issue for a long time now. I did a factory reset recently but that didn't change anything. I also have the bug with random reboots, putting some paper under the battery and pressing the contacts allways helps for a few days or weeks but there hasn't been a real solution yet. Has anybody sent their phone to jolla because of the quietness bug?
