Add possibility to change the picture/video quality inside camera app without going to settings and change quality there. Make it possible to change for example aspect ratio and video quality in both front and rear cameras. At least 4:3, 16:9 and 3:2 aspect ratio settings would be nice. Few basic quality settings also for front and rear camera including 2 Mpx support for rear camera which is now only 1 Mpx and 0,3 Mpx.

Only by chance did I discover lately the 4:3 aspect ratio is an option in Settings>Apps>Camera. And today, when I wanted to set it back, I did not remember, where to do so. Seems chaotic to me to find some camera settings outside the application in the main settings submenu. While I see your point to keep the settings menu in the camera app light for 'ordinary users', comments so far show, that there is also demand for a rich menu with richer options.

So how about that: in Settings>Apps>Camera I can choose between two menus: the standard setting 'options - light' for ordinary use and 'option - rich' for camera lovers. This way you can choose in the main settings how you want to use the camera and while you use it, you find the camera settings you want right where you need them.

I know this is not an answer. But it is a proposal you might want to vote up or down. I believe in this way using the camera is more fun for ordinary users and for camera lovers.

Chance to set up basic and advanced settings between camera settings sounds good and would allow to use the functions and settings on own preferences. Edit: Issue for Basic and Advanced settings here: https://together.jolla.com/question/12638/idea-camera-settings-divided-into-basic-and-advanced/

How many times do you change that? Just curious because IMHO there should not be to much options in the main application it only confuses "ordinary users" with to much options. Also this: https://together.jolla.com/question/2689/camera-some-options-not-frequently-used-better-go-in-settings/ drives me nuts :)

Changing options should not require leaving the app, going into settings menu, choosing apps, choosing camera. Doing at least six actions in an other part of the system is counter intuitive. Just add a button right there in the app to get to the settings (once there actually are settings to set).

Keeping things simple is always important, but it is always good if additional features can be added without ruining the overall experience.
