Email: sync does not seem to update all folders [duplicate]

I've got a server side filtering that moves incoming emails to IMAP folders set up. If I want to see new emails there I need to open the email client, navigate to that folder and select sync from the menu manually. Nor automatic synchronization neither manual synchronization of the main folder activates syncing of this folder.
N9 client solved this by letting the user select which IMAP folders they want to sync by default. That could be an easy enhancement and in my opinion would help the user experience a lot.
