Hey,

I just got a new Jolla device. I've been playing around and after 2 hours, it's become unusable.

When I touch the "home" screen (the one with 4 icons at the bottom), it simply crashes and restarts.

If I lock the screen and unlock it, then, I am on the "lock screen" (the one with the time and notification icons.) In that screen, i can do everything (scroll, show the pulley menu and all).

If I start the settings manager, it shows the first screen but will close as soon as I touch anything on it (like on the "home" screen)

I can't do anything with the phone now, All I have installed is the File browser and the android compatibility app. It is also in Developper mode.

Is there anything I can do beside already sending it back ?

Have you seen this and that? Maybe those are related?

Hi dude!

Sad to hear that from your Jolla experience. Which version of the OS are you using? Have you upgraded it during the 2 hours it worked fine? Did you install an app and all the problems started after that? The main idea that comes to me to fix this problem is a factory reset, but that appears in the settings menu, and you say that it doesn't work...Can you try one more time to perform this action?

If not try this solution: How to bricked Jolla phone revival

I am not sure about the version and cannot access it (But I know it is not the latest). I did not perform the upgrade (as I don't have a wifi access, just 3G) I really can't access factory reset. I'll try the second solution then.

Thanks for your answer, I'll let you know :)
