ambiguity of interface [not relevant]

I see a lot of the points about the interface being some what unclear.
Just an idea but the limits of swiping seems to be the issue and providing a breadth of options ie in app and system UI orientated sub-sets.
I wonder it the multi-touch could not be used here to add some diversification of swipe functionality. (although only really from top down) ie. two finger swipe from top closes app and at home screen it would be close all. a bit tongue in cheek as you would give it the two fingers....to die and one finger to sleep
Yeah its a quandary as you only have 4 options up down left or right. If you keep the view minimalist then to gain access easily to system functions you need more than 4 for easy access... dont know exactly but it seems many people want additional swipe features from current screen so 4 wont cut it?
dont know maybe the two finger to sleep would be better then and the top down swipe for close otherwise its onscreen stuff which is clutter to me. anyway good point Nux.
