A hierarchical tree of tags should achieve this. Is such functionality available?

camil-b: It should be available but I do not know has community rights to organize it in askbot or only moderators?

The support for tag hierarchy in Askbot is not very functional (IMHO) and that's why it hasn't been enabled.

some of the parts are with wrong tags... ideas you have are most of the time feature-request, real ideas are skunkworks. Contact is the page where you see a single contact, people is the AB-application... contacts is usually about import and export of contacts as in .vcf... and so on - why is this needed anyways? This reads like a "how to use the tagging features of askbot" and "here you find the tags you are looking for"

@chemist : not all people are familiar enough with Q&A style. Also, it is possible to create a hierarchy of topics here. Regarding bugs in this wiki: feel free to edit it :)
