Native Media player AAC troubles

Hey all It seems the native media player does not play AAC streams. I specifically have a premium subscription to a webradio service and the only way to play music is to fire up the (way too high bitrate) MP3 streams, AAC streams are not played at all.

Maybe I'm just doing it the wrong way (manually hacked together two pls files that contain MP3 and AAC server addresses - MP3 works, AAC does not).

The service provides me two ways to access my streams: pls files and so called "server access" playing pls files does not work at all.

Any suggestions?

I can play AAC files no problem. I have installed some player from openrepos.net using Warehouse and it included some codec pack. I think this "Ultimate Coded Support" could work for you.

I installed faad2 and some gst plugins (https://lists.sailfishos.org/pipermail/devel/2014-January/002689.html), and now things work out fine.
