Exchange support improved with 1.0.2.5? [answered]

Release notes say Exchange ActiveSync support is improved and should provide better error reporting. Still I can't get my Exchange account properly configured on the Jolla; it's not telling me anything about what's going wrong. On the previous release I saw "Updating..." forever in the Inbox; now I simply can't see an Inbox. No contacts or calendar items are appearing as well. I guess this is all still due to the Exchange server based policies that Jolla still does not support (e.g. requiring a device lock, etc.) but I would like this being confirmed if possible. Or am I doing something wrong?

It would help to know which version of MS Exchange your mail server has, and what server based policies it really requires. I understand if you are not the Admin of that server it's almost impossible to know.

Not the admin unfortunately; corporate environment. What I do know when setting up Exchange on iOS, Android and/or Meego I always in the midst of the process get a dialog prompting me to set a pin code for the device (is not similar to PIN code for SIM card).

As I understood, this PIN code setting is enforced by the Exchange server and it looks like Jolla does not know how to handle these properly. In an earlier response on maemo.talk.org someone replied that this will be fixed in subsequent versions and I just want to understand where we are with this.

My company's exchange server requires the lock code to be set, but I am still able to sync everything with Jolla normally, without the lock code set. I did set it manually anyway, but emails and calendar synced well also without it. So I think that's not the reason why you are unable to set it up.

On N9 (or was it N900), it helped when the option "Turn off provisioning" was enabled. AFAIK this tells then the server, "don't worry, all policies you require are enabled", but not sure if that really works with all servers. But to enable this might be against your cooperate policies!

Basic provisioning is supported in update3(1.0.3.8), if someone has problems that are not reported here please post a concrete question with the issues, closing this one now.
