Today I upgraded to the lastest version (Saapunki), but it looks like the update didn't complete at all (no strange behaviors during the update process AFAIK). For some reason the only "new thing" I can see is the top/bottom button in the launcher (really annoying by the way) and in flickables (email, etc). The carrier label also seems to have some strange behavior, but it doesn't show the date at all.

I can't find the "Prefer 4G" option either, my two google accounts disappeared from the account list (and all related applications except the email client) and I can't interrupt the bump animation of the lock screen. I can't create folders in the launcher either. My applications are listed perfectly in the store, with the system update at the top.

The update still appears listed as "ready to download", even after I ran pkcon refresh twice and checked for updates manually as explained in the release notes. I also tried to update again to see if it could complete, but it finished right after showing the progress bar and restarted normally.

Is this a known issue? How can I fix it? All other updates worked flawlessly and I hadn't had any problems so far with package management

Thanks

Looks like you might run into not enough free space issue, please check: https://together.jolla.com/question/45276/my-phone-just-reboots-instead-of-upgrading-the-os-what-went-wrong/

My experience was not same but had broken update. First it took lot of time for one phone to go through update; post reboot SIM was not active, only WLAN connectivity was present; Setting screen only showed System/ Apps/ Accounts on the screen and nothing on top of the screen. Performed update multiple times; but no change. Later I removed all Openrepos repos and ran update it went through, but seems there is a glitch it shows a plan instead or either 4G/ 3G/ 2G. Have checked settings they are fine. Now am able to make a call have mobile network, seems ok. I have another Jolla which went through smooth with few Openrepos repos.

More information: I've been thinking about possible causes and I just found that I had developer mode enabled (nothing nasty, just restarted connman some days ago and forgot to disable it). I've tried to disable it but it appeared as disabled although the jolla-developer-mode package was installed, so I removed it with pkcon but it still refuses to update (reboots in the first 5% of the scrollbar). I also noticed that the device thinks it's still in Parlaampi and the sound is completely broken: I can't change the volume and it's permanently silenced, the media player won't even start playing. I don't have any OpenRepos repository configured and WiFi/3G works perfectly, but I can only start the browser from fingerterm, otherwise it stays loading and then the cover disappears (????)
