I have Generic CalDAV configured to my ownCloud server.

The issue is: items cannot be deleted. They will always appear after the next sync run.

To reproduce:

  1. create an calendar entry on Jolla
  2. wait until it is synced
  3. delete it

→ on the next sync run it will reappear

and

  1. delete a calendar entry on the ownCloud server (either directly web interface, or by another client like Thunderbird Lightning)
  2. see it reappear after the next sync run on Jolla

I can confirm that issue. Tested by myself with own CalDAV-Server (posteo.eu)

I confirm the issue. Actually syncing through the new generic Jolla CalDAV works only one way from server to Jolla. Any changes you make in the local calendar of the Jolla never gets updated to the owncloud server, no matter if you choose to manually sync or wait untill the regular update hits. So the problem described here https://together.jolla.com/question/45288/sync-from-pulley-menu-in-caldav-account-does-not-work/ is only a part of a more general problem...

Unfortunately syncing with SyncEvolution does not work anymore too after upgrading to 1.0.7.16. So this is an uncomfortable situation.

Update: deleting an entry on the sever will never delete the entry on the Jolla. So it works only one way from server to client for new entries or to update existing entries.

I can also confirm this on 1.0.8.19 in combination with Owncloud:

  • Create event on Owncloud web interface; sync; delete on Jolla; sync; event re-appears on device.
  • Create event on Jolla; sync; delete on Owncloud web interface; sync; event is not deleted on device.

Another related problem: Whenever an event is modified on the server or the device, after synchronization the end time of the event will equal its starting time.

no issue with edit/delete of any caldav event -> sailfish 1.1.2.15RC -> works like charm with own caldav (sogo/zentyal 3.4)

jolla + 4 TB lighting clients(diff os/lighting builds) + few random ios devices + web client = no mess in sync

actualy sailfish got better support than ios including special utf characters for most custom caldav servers i think that most caldav sync issues are now server related

I can confirm, just tested with a calendar entry, creation, editing and removal all were successful. So 3/3, works great!
