Small delay when answering phone call

I've lately been experiencing, that when answering an incoming phone call, there is a tiny delay of one second or so, before the microphone starts transmitting. At least one other Jolla user has confirmed my observation.
Because of the delay, the caller might not hear me if I simply answer with something short, like "Hi!", and remains silent on the other end. Some callers have remarked that the "beeping just stopped", but that they didn't hear me answer.
Anyone else noticed the same?
This happens to me on all my phones. Quite odd behaviour.
