I have gmail account, and have added additional identities to it. I added my gmail account using the non-gmail.com as username. Still, Jolla sends my e-mails out with From: xxx@gmail.com. Is there a way to fix it?

How can I reopen my issue? The system says that I don't have enough reputation.

My bad, I'll reopen it.

i have connected other email accounts to my gmail. and yeah, there is no option to send an email with an address that's configured to a gmail.

Not sure if this is what you want, but there is a way to set the default account for outgoing emails.

Go to Settings->Apps->Email Application

No, that's not it. I have single account - it just seems the Gmail Account wizard assumes gmail.com From -address, which is not true in my case.

Gmail changes the headers in the server side to match your session(google account), if you check email header you will see a field: 'X-Google-Original-From' with the email you configured in email client, note that you need to use a generic account instead of Google and change the "email address field" in case your auth is not the same as google one.

You also need to have the sender address properly configured in gmail side, see here: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/22370?hl=en

Yes. That would probably work, as I have my regular computer IMAP for the gmail account configured like that. But would it be possible to have Google account type support this? I would also like to sync my calendar amongst other things...

Hej! Try creating a generic account for gmail-based email account (just as suggested above), and create a Google account on your Jolla with e-mails unmarked. That will sync your calendar, and the generic account will sync your e-mails.

@fabled - Technically yes, but since there's branding involved not sure, anyway you can just use the suggestion above for now.
