as shown in the title

typing on a BT keyboard while have the pinyin IM active only produce latin letters

also it would be great if char selection can be done at the BT keyboard

Yeah, at the moment bluetooth keyboard support is quite basic and doesn't currently support composing input methods.

Reminds me of my old N950, HW keyboard only types Latin letters. Hope Jolla can fix it before official qwerty TOH is released.

Quite of few folks have ordered TOHKBD and are hoping to utilize it for Chinese Pinyin as well as Japanese Roman text input. I did order TOHKBD and am praying everyday that someone will find a way ;)

P.S. What can be done with N810 and N900, why not with Jolla?

Also Jolla Tablet will increase such demands for external keyboard Chinese typing. I guess OS support is needed.

Bump it up!

Hope Jolla can find a way to enable HW keyboard with stock Pinyin input. As for now it's not supported with TOHKBD2.

And fully agree - this will be essentially while Sailfish OS device such as the tablet launched in Chinese speaking area. So supporting HW keyboard with stock input method (like Google Pinyin) will be a good idea.
