Endomondo PRO (android) used to work just fine. I launched official maps app, and then Endomondo, and it kept tracking my cycling just fine.

After updating to Saapunki, Endomondo PRO drops the GPS singnal after turning the screen off, even when maps app is also running to help keep the GPS alive.

Haven't tested with native sports tracking apps yet since I have been collecting everything into endomondo. Wonder if it could be possible to use native tracking app, and then import the track along with speed data. etc to endomondo? Endomondo seems to allow importing off .gpx, .tcx, .fit files.

Edit: MeeRun seems to export in .gpx so i ques ill move happily there.

Reported also in https://together.jolla.com/question/45966/bug-android-apps-lose-gps-fix-when-in-background-since-107/ For your description I wonder why the native map apps simultaneously? I've used endomondo (non-pro) since I got my Jolla and it has worked just fine without any native apps running.

dunno, somepoint it didn't seem to find a proper gps lock on its own, cant really remember what version of Sailfish I was running back then.
