This description works as well with every calendar that you create or subscribe to using your google account.

Prerequisites: Your OS must be 1.0.7.16 or higher. In order to subscribe to a calendar that contains the World Cup schedule you need a google account.

Step by step description

  • 1) Add the World Cup Calendar to your google calendar account. I used this calendar made by someone from Germany. Feel free to add other sources as well.

--> Open Google Calendarand add the following URL: https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/spielplan.fussball.wm%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics

  • 2) Open Settings-> Accounts -> Select Add Account in the pulley menu -> CalDAV -> General CalDAVand Swipe to the left in order to proceed.

  • 3) Fill the fields:

Username: Your Google Account E-Mail-Adress

Password: Your Google Account Password

Server address: https://www.google.com

Server path: /calendar/dav/spielplan.fussball.wm%40gmail.com/events

  • 4) Acceopt these settings. Choose 15 minutes as interval (it seems that sync per request is broken in the current OS version 1.0.7.16

(For me it took almost one hour until I was able to see entries in the calendar)

You can manage the visibility by opening the native calendar application and select Manage Calendars from the pulley menu.

How can I use this for a non-Google feed? For example any of these: http://www.webcal.fi/en-GB/mobile.php

If you don't use the mobile version of this calendar page but the desktop browser page you will be able to get WebDAV URLs for each calendar. E.g. on http://www.webcal.fi/en-GB/manual_subscription.php#popular you can get several of these URLs by clicking on "show url". The URL always appears on top of the page. An other option is to use the "Add calendar to Google Calendar" that also is provided on top of the pae after clicking "Show URL". Once the calendar is available at google you should be able to follow the steps decribed in the initial answer.

I'm sorry but I still don't get it. What shall I type as the server on Jolla? I can't use webcal, as Jolla requires also credentials. On the other hand Google doesn't work either, as the calendar is on webcal, not Google.
