Hi to all. I'm 3 days with last system update and have many ui lags, ALMOST on every swipe... It started immediately after update and 1-2 reboots that I did.

  • I don't have any system modified files.
  • I don't have patchmanager.
  • I don't have too much opened app, most of the time it's just 3-4 app (Mitakuuluu, mail, browser and terminal or filetug).
  • Android app take too much time to open, also have lags.
  • Once it got overheating, and phone rebooted because it freezed and I couldn't swipe to close apps..
  • I didn't install any new app after update.

I DIDN'T have this problems before last system update, phone always was smooth and I really don't know what happened after update and what to do. I don't want to do "reset phone" and spend 1-2 day for installing, ordering and setup all my app...

I'm alone or someone also experience similar problems after update ? Any advice please ?

i'm seeing the same issue.. for the first time ever I now got the feeling that Jolla is short in RAM. Since this update I always have to keep an eye on how many apps I keep open.

Like I said I don't open more than 4 apps. Also I tested with 1-2 apps and without opened apps, but still have lags :(

The UI has been laggy for me for months now, I can't see any worsening with the latest update (but not an improvement either). Framerate display confirms there are huge latencies during some operations (peeking, moving from homescreen to lockscreen).

having the same issue - especially the phone app. however, if I leave the phone idle for a while (like a few hours - I haven't tried with something less), the lag is gone. the lag reappears anytime I fire up the an app. the newly started app lags for a while.

Since the last update, I am seeing high CPU usage (loads 3+, CPU I/O wait consistently ~30%) which I think are causing extreme UI lagginess. I keep seeing lipstick and mmcqd in the top-3 CPU users.

Have you tried a "cold start" by keeping the battery pulled for some minutes? I had severe UI glitches after the update that remained after reboots but went away yesterday when someone one Jolla Pioneer Facepalm group hinted at possibly solving his probs that way.

You mean just pull out battery for some minutes, insert it back and start the phone? No.. I didn't try it yet.. Will try it later today, thanks for tip.

Cold rebooting the device seems to have fixed the lag problems for me :-)

Correction, cod rebooting made things better, but the lag returned twice yesterday.

Yep, after cold reboot it better than was. But today I noticed about something interesting... Mitakuuluu, browser and mail apps was opened. Battery was 67% and I didn't use the phone around 1.5-2 hours snd when I opened display I started to feel the lags again and battery was 37% !!!! I checked top and saw that Mitakuuluu on 95% of CPU !!!
