[Help] Device stuck in version 1.0.3.3 after factory reset [answered]

Hello sailors!
My jolla has had reboot issues since version 1.0.3.8 (naamakanjärvi) and since the last update (1.0.7.16) didn't fix the issue for me I decided to do somthing about it myself and reseted the phone to factory settings. This (so far) has fixed the reboot issue, but it also brought more serious issues. My device is now stuck in version 1.0.3.3. When I search for new updates it says that my software is up to date. I also cannot install any aplications from the store. I cannot even enable developer mode and fix the issue from the terminal. When I try to enable developer mode it just shows an endless loading indicator.
I have tried to get developer mode to work with the instructions from this thread: https://together.jolla.com/question/37694/developer-mode-not-loading/ but with no luck. I have also tried to reset the device again and again but the situation hasn't changed.
So I decided to ask here if someone knows what to do or try next.
