Contry: Sweden

Operator: Tele2 4G/lte

I have verified with Tele2 that I have 4G. Trying this now in central Göteborg. Using access point: 4g.tele2.se . Prefer 4G. Choose network automatically. (Cannot choose manually! When trying I get a list of two highlighted alternatives: Tele2Comviq and 24024. The latter is 2G if I understand correctly. Choosing the first one I just got Oops connection problem).

Any idea?

Although you wrote, that Tele2 confirmed you should have 4G, could it be that your SIM card does not support it? Just this weekend a friend and I were sitting together outside. Both our Jollas are up to date and we both use the same provider. Swisscom in our case. His Jolla was on 3G while I had perfect 4G reception. The only difference was that my friends SIM card was something 10+ years old while mine is from 2009 or so.

I have seen some very weird situations (how about a few menu items causing router firmware corruption whenever clicked?) caused by malfunctioning SIM cards... Have it replaced, it does no harm even if it's no help. Seriously!

I have ordered a new SIM card.Hopefully I get it in a couple of days. Will come back with the result. Thanks for the replies.

I got my new sim card now but it doesn't work at all! The icon for mobile connection is darker than normal disabled and I can't enable it. I have activated the sim card online and the phone recognizes the new card as it has another pin code. I have tried to reboot the phone several times. Inserting the old card makes it possible to enable mobile connection. But not with the new one.

I tried my new sin card in myold N9, and it produced an error message saying (translated from Swedish): SIM not provisioned MM #2.

4G works! It was the old SIM card that didn't support 4G. The activation of the new card took about 20 hours. Thanks for the help.
