[question] Why is internet needed for installing a private app? [answered]
With SDK I made a private app. On phone I disable internet connection (WLAN, mobile, BT). Now I copy the rpm files via USB on the phone and started the installation. At first a blue question ask for internet connection. I found no way to install my private app offline. Why is internet connection needed for my small humble app?
What happens if you do allow it to connect to something, but disable the uplink from there?

GD ( 2014-06-17 02:33:22 +0300 )editIt may want to do something alike "pkcon refresh" or your package really needs another package to be installed as GD suggests. I tried this just now with the default Sailfish template application and deploying it over USB when the phone is in flight mode did not make the internet connection dialog pop up.
kaltsi ( 2014-06-17 10:05:08 +0300 )editI also "Creating a SailfishOS Application" and say "Hello Sailors". Before I connected the phone via USB, I disabled all connections, also set the airplane mode off. After transfer the rpm I disconnect the USB cable. Now I allowed installation of "unsecure" software. Then I started the "file browser" app, choose the rpm and try to install. The blue question ask for internet connection...
Proberly I use the same temmplate. My phone runs with 1.0.7.16. OpenRepos/Warehouse is installed. Airplane mode is off. I installed my private app in previous version since february under online condition. Maybe another sailor will try this with the standard template.
utkiek ( 2014-06-17 22:17:54 +0300 )edit@kaltsi: I use SDK 1406. By building the standard template application "Hello Sailor" I got the warning "QML Page: Cannot anchor to an item then isn't a parent or sibling.
