Control Gallery app indexing behaviour. [duplicate]
There should be a way to tell the Gallery application not to look in certain folders (a hidden file for instance). Currently everything stored on the sdcard seems to get indexed, which means that all map tiles and album art stored on the sdcard will appear in the gallery. This is quite annoying as they clearly don't belong there.
There should be a way to flag some directory trees as non indexable for the Gallery. I suppose same goes for Music/Media.
As far as I know, this is not gallery itself, rather the service "tracker" (check out gnome tracker page). I'm not sure if possible, but it would be nice if there was a way to tell tracker to exclude directories for specific mime types...

oitos ( 2014-10-23 05:02:16 +0300 )editI factory reset my phone recently and did not restore my pictures and videos, but there are over 1700 images in the Gallery, of which less than 50 are pictures I have taken and downloaded. Pretty ridiculous!
