I use the standard jolla mail client with a IMAP acount and sending mail works fine but I can't find the mails in any folder to look at them again after sending.

PS/edit: I know i can swype to get to the mailbox folders and there is the folder sent (or german "gesendet"in my case) but mails sent from my jolla don't get there. The mails i send on my PC with Thunderbird are all there.

@dimmu: Did you try to search for sent emails in IMAP server folders? Or can be there any problem with folder naming (e.g. in german versus internal folder representation)?

@dimmu - Still having this problem ? Have you check if there aren't two send folders ? If so please let me know the folder names in the device side. Thanks.

I created a new folder "sent" but this didn't work. Then I deleted the mail account in settings and recreated it. Now it works as described by drummer12, I have two folders "Gesendet" and the mails from Jolla are in the new one. Both folders are called "Gesendet" in the Jolla mail client.

@dimmu - Is better to make sure only one sent folder exists, some IMAP servers don't support xlist or similar so only way to detect the folders is against a dictionary of common names, if there are two first returned from the server will be matched. What are the names in the webclient ? (server side )

Sent mails are saved in the Sent folder. Actualy I have tested this functionality, everything seems to be OK.

What is the exact name of the sent-folder? Can you tell me the exact spelling for drafts and trash too?

00prometheus ( 2014-06-20 11:08:18 +0300 )edit

@00prometheus: Exact names of my IMAP folders: Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Junk, Trash, Sent Mail. Sent Mail is an old folder from N9. Sent emails from Jolla are stored in Sent folder. The Sent folder is on my mail server (CentOS/postfix/dovecot) represented as Sent Messages.

@Peter S. Thanks! Unfortunately, it appears I already have the right names for Inbox, Drafts, Sent and Trash (I never use Junk since I do server side spam filtering). Despite this, Sent, Drafts and Trash don't work :-( My mailserver setup is very similar to yours: Debian/postfix/dovecot/sieve

in my case, there are two "send" or "gesendet" Ordner, one synced with outlook and the webinterface and another one synced with my Jolla mails, don't know why...
