All the folders in the app launcher are missing after my Jolla crashed (btw it still keeps doing that....), this makes their usage a little too impractical

Same here, what a mess! I spent half an our to recreate all the folders and order the apps. I hope it will not happen again too often ...

This happened to me too after clean shutdown, all folders are gone. How that can be even possible?

Happened to me the first time today. How annoying... As commented here already: how is this possible???

This looks like the same bug as this one: https://together.jolla.com/question/26456/bug-jolla-app-icons-rearranging-by-itself/

@Neo: Were only folders missing or were all app icons in a completely new, messed up order?

@caprico The apps that are positioned before the first folder were at the same place as before, but the apps that were within the folders and the other apps that were positioned after the first folder were, as you say it, in a completely new, messed up order. I don't know if it is the same bug, that one happened to me also just once back in May but that was before folders existed.

Any idea how are the folders implemented ? As I doubt it represents actual folders for the .desktop files as that would mean moving rpm owned files. So I guess some sort of configuration file or database ? I guess it could be possible that this file could get corrupted during the crash, as the files is unreadable on startup and thus no folders show up.

Happened to me this morning after crash. I rebooted and after that all folders were gone, and all app icons were "flat" in random order at desktop !?

:-(

Some sort of backup/recovery should be in place.

Just happened to me, without a crash/reboot. They were all gone when I looked at thw phone again.

How can this be solved for the future?
