What hardware/devices would you like to see SailfishOS on? [duplicate]

This article talks about that "You will soon be able turn your Android device into a Sailfish device"

Jolla pioneered the ability to use existing Android hardware adaptations with the libhybris project and the first Jolla device is built upon an Android hardware adaptation (but is not Android, just uses the hardware adaptation)

What devices would you like to see SailfishOS on - what chipset, how much RAM, how big internal storage, what resolution and screen size, cores and speed? .. and why?

If a device exists already as an answer, vote it up!

One device per answer!

Acer Iconia A1! I don't like Android so would love to use Sailfish in that too! :)

Droid 5, if leaks are true it should be very comparable to current Jolla (S4 dualcore, 1Gb RAM, 16Gb internal) but better screen 720p and HWKB

Should the title read 'Android-based devices'?

I see a lot of demand in the Answer section for Jolla (or nemo) Tablet. But before that happens, you must support landscape first. Please make it happen ;-)

I think this would be a nice improvement for the main Jolla website: allowing people to sign-up with their e-mail and current phone model they would wish to have Sailfish OS on. They could then be announced when Sailfish is available for their phone. I have friends who are interested in this.

The PuzzlePhone, supported officially by cooperation between Jolla and the Circular Devices company. (Sailfish OS port should supposedly happen as a community project)

Fairphone 2: repairable, fair produced, modular and with good specifications.

Recently introduced LG Zero looks nice (somewhat reminds me of my favorite Nokia N8 in design).

Good price and HW is so enough for SFOS.

OnePlus X seems to be a good future fit. https://oneplus.net/en/x/specs

Good price/performance ratio and nice/simplistic design. Perfect fit for SFOS 2.0

It isn't a device, but i think that bq (http://www.bq.com/gb/) would be an excellent partner for Jolla!

+1 for jolla2 and this time not a cheap one, but something that can compare to the N950 with up to date specs and sold not too cheap

The Puzzlephone.

It is currently on Indiegogo.

It seems to have:

  1. relatively good hardware
  2. it is an interesting idea with the modules
  3. it is from a finnish startup
  4. It should be relatively "sustainable" and ecological
  5. made in Finland
  6. and they just said that they think about an option to unlock the Bootloader. Update: they wrote in the Campaign comments: "Unlocked boot loader will be provided. And we love AOSP and Sailfish... ;)", so maybe there could be at least at some point some support for porting it, if not immediately.
  7. Update:They have added a perk for development kit for custom Heart modules. so something like TOH seems possible... TOH, The Other Heart.
  8. Update: PuzzlePhone and Jolla did announce cooperation on Slush just now, SFOS will be ported first as community version.

SFOS on PuzzlePhone

What else do we need?

Definetly. And since they go about giving their puzzlepieces cute names, they could call SFOS/Android the soul of that puzzle :D

I guess we should look how many are interested in this and then try to make our voice heard with Jolla and Puzzlephone teams. If it is enough people, maybe we can achieve something.

I'm in search of alternatives for any of the Samsung Galaxy Cameras. It would be a good device for opencv if the camera was fully developed.
