I'd suggest some improvements within the "WLAN" part of "Settings", in order to make it's functionality more accessible to users:

  • The dropdown slider only offers "Connect to Internet". I would also expect a "Search for Networks" (without any attempt to connect).

  • The list of available APs ("Saved Networks") only offers a "Delete" option. It's not possible to edit the parameters initially given without deleting the account. There's no way either to have a look at the current settings for a given network. An "Edit" option would make quite some sense here.

Thank you.

When I long press on a "saved network" I get a menu with "Forget network" and "Edit".

What version are you on?

I'm running 1.0.7.16, the "Edit" button doesn't seem to be here anymore. I remember there was one, but the tiny number of settings available to edit was dissatisfying though. E.g. you couldn't peek into or change the passwort if I don't err.

@Tanghus You can only edit the active WiFi connection in my case. Not the other saved networks. On them I only get "Forget". That is with 1.0.7.18.

I hadn't noticed that since only use wifi at home.

Yes, there's certainly room for improvements...

Not just the active wifi connection, any in range wifi access points can be edited.

Why do you want to list the visible networks if you have no intention on connecting to one of them?
