It would be good if there were a separate icon for informing about the usage of SD card space similar to the one with internal memory usage icon. Could also tell user to which format the Micro SD card is currently formatted in by for example tapping on the icon itself. Some additional features could be also accessed from this Micro SD indicator too. (See the separate answer suggestion for reformatting below)

Good suggestion. Subject could be more informative, e.g. "Separate SD card memory usage indicator (Settings/Device info)"

This is a good idea. In the meantime you can check SD card usage by typing df -h in Terminal (developer mode).

I like this! In the future this kind of info abt connected devices and harware (storage / mounts, acessories, TOHs, etc) could be presented in System info > Hardware -section in Settings..

Additionally via this Micro SD icon/indicator in phone settings, one could also reformat Micro SD card too. Reformat issue here: https://together.jolla.com/question/6130/reformatting-micro-sd-card-inside-phone-settings/

This could be added to the now existing Mass Memory Usage screen under Settings > System > About Product

Aurajoki has the SD card(s?) listed under mass memory in Settings, which tells the file system format as well as the used and remaining space. You can also browse the filesystem by tapping on the card as well as format the card from the pulley menu.
