Hi all, I've been thinking about putting up an upgraded version of the successful DIT Tool which helped us to hunt down the NFC bug back in December 2013: You can find the tool we used (current version) here

Upgrade to v2 might include new features like

reporting the capacity (There's a difference with new and used batteries)
linking more information (For example top / upower / CSD Tool results)
More interactive tables, leaving me with less work
Easier reporting of single Sailfish OS / Android app issues
Hopefully more reliable results with less reports needed

Before putting this up (it might take a while), I'd like to know in forehand: WOULD YOU USE THIS TOOL?

Maybe include some hunting of the reboot issues too? Situations when reboots occur, battery dimensions(?), paper mods / optima service added rubberpads? was anything helping.

The interest towards this has been quite low, so actully I'm considering dropping this from my ToDo after all. Maybe there's only a very small group of users experiencing extra battery drain.

First battery monitoring to report tool done with my typical usage of Jolla phone.

I'll add the charge/discharge curve as soon as I get the phone up and running again.

The curve is created with battery monitor app by radekp

Personally I don't like the curve based charge percentage, but battery monitor is the only app, which is able to draw charge/discharge curve. The traditional U/I, Ah or Wh curve would be much informative imho.

The first part of the discharge is browsing on ampparit.com and tjc. About half of the first part of the discharge to 10.42 is active browsing and following part of the discharge to 11.48 is ampparit as active tab, but browser swiped as background => As you can seen the discharge continues with same rate. At 11.48 I changed tjc as active tab on browser and it really has big influence to the discharge rate.

The remaining part of the curve follows the same pattern high discharge when actively using the browser and much slower discharge rate when background and tjc as active tab web page.

What do you thing - is it about the same as your user experience?

Screen brightness? Also, it's hard to see those read blocks on my screen...

The picture is taken with screenshot so it should be full jolla screen size picture.

If you zoom in the picture, the redblocks are the current measurements at the time. I don't know for sure, if the values are converted correctly as 500mA sounds quite high discharge current.

The charge percentage is shown as raw value, which is based on the top utility app.

my screen brightness is set to half with automatic control activated. The test was done all day in shade at indoors.
