Can no longer switch ambience from lockscreen

Before 1.0.8.19 I could swipe left/right on the lockscreen for the ambience switcher. Now I can't. As I have a few ambiences for certain situations (sound for calls only, etc) being able to wake-switch-sleep was highly convenient. Now it's wake-unlock-switch-sleep. The previous behaviour was considerably faster.

Requesting old behaviour be reinstated.

Just an assumption: I recall having seen the space to the right/left of the lock screen being used for "partner content" that will show up if an "Other Half" is installed (you remember the angry bird OH shown a few months ago?)

My guess is that they prepared this in the July update to use it later this year. If this is true, it's highly unlikely you get your old behaviour back.

@ossi1967 is probably right, but still they should have said something about this in the release notes.

Hmm...Maybe Jolla tells us, what they intend with this change....What is the advantage of switching the ambiance at the homescreen instead of the lockscreen?

@Neo: You're right, they should have mentioned it, but I guess they just forgot. People make mistakes.

@Daniel: Maybe someone from Jolla will explain, I can only guess from what I've heard and what I remember. But again: The ambiences you saw when you flicked from the lock-screen were only a place holder because the intended functionality is not yet in place. There was a discussion here a while ago when people suggested that one of the two places to select an ambience is unnecessary and could be used for something else (like having more than 9 covers open, for example). The answer was what I repeated here from memory: It's just for the time being, future plans will be different though.
