A neat feature would be if the different copied texts were cached and all, to a certain (configurable?) depth, would be accessible through the paste button. First tap on the paste button would paste the last copied text, next tap would replace that with the second to last copied text, the tap after that the third to last copied text and so on.

I already suggested this as a solution to disable automatic copying, but I thought it could use a question by it self, since it doesn't need auto-copy to be disabled to work.

Edit Dec. 2019: The KDE people are also working on this under Wayland. Maybe an idea to cooperate with them: https://phabricator.kde.org/T4449#192501

+1. the ability to select something without losing what's already in the clipboard is a desired feature. may be suggest this in the other thread on system wide clipboard as well.. https://together.jolla.com/question/832/system-wide-clipboard-copy-paste-capability/ (more chances of getting noticed)

I would really need this often. Got my vote!

Sadly, we will have to wait a lot longer, as it isn't possible under Wayland. I started an app similar to the KDE Plasma Klipper app, but stranded on: https://phabricator.kde.org/T4449 :(

They do offer some potential solutions, though.

This would be a great enhancement. Another solution could be long-tapping on clipboard icon to show last three entries.
