New Android multitasking mode app crashes

I never experienced this before, but now with SailfishOS 1.0.8.19 I repeatedly noticed that when I send an Android app to the background, it appears on the multitasking home screen correctly. But whenever I try to get them to the foreground again, they simply close/crash.
I know it is experimental, but I wanted to report it. Been looking for a similar "question" but I just found an old entry which isn't addressing exactly the same issue. Also note that I didn't face Android apps to close by themselves before.
