Pretty sure this hasn't been asked before.

Please allow the skipping of the wait times (Deleting in 5) in functions such as deleting notifications.

How?

Well, a simple yet effective way to skip the waiting time is to simply swipe in the direction of the countdown, literally pushing/pulling it to zero.

Nice.

Note however that in other places you can actually skip this - e.g. in gallery just move to the next picture. For SMS just go back to the main screen.

https://together.jolla.com/question/3244/remorse-timer-actions-and-remorse-timer-settings-configuration/

That question has a wider scope, including adjusting the remorse time, but it also requests a swipe gesture to confirm/skip the timer. I'd say this is a duplicate, @FinnishSushi if you agree then close this.

The question is: Why would you want to actively skip it? You never need to wait for it to finish anyway. It would probably increase the complexity of the UI with no real benefit.

@ossi1967, you are right in that you don't have to wait, but I think that is not obvious and has to be learned. I can't help feeling that I need to wait until the timer finishes before doing anything else, though I know otherwise... Also, there have been bugs where you really do need to wait or the action won't happen (in Calendar iirc), which doesn't help learning to trust that it's going to happen in the background.

Another reason to skip the timer would be to see the result of your action. Say, you're rearranging your apps in Launcher; you delete an app from the top row; that deletion will affect the positions of all other icons, so you can't really continue rearranging before the timer is finished and the app is actually removed...
