How to create a music/media album

I have uploaded a number of albums/directories to my Music directory. Still only three of them actually show up correctly under Albums in Media. The rest seem to be under "Unknown artist - Unknown album". It seems these three have in common that the filenames are all in the form "Artist - Title.mp3", while those that do now show up are mostly "01 - Title.mp3". Is there a solution to this?
not sure but it might be the id3 tags that are missing, have you checked that?
