I noticed recently, that when I am not opening the store, my Jolla is not checking regularly for updates as it should. Today Settings=>Sailfish OS updates was showing "2 days ago". When I go to store I have no issues with logging and checking for app updates manually. My settings for network when checking for updates are "Always". And my device is always connected to internet. May be it only my device? Anybody else having experienced this?

4.08.2014 EDIT: After 2 days of my Jolla checking for updates every day, I am again in a situation where OS update shows "1 day ago". So this is a bug at least with my device.

According to this answer https://together.jolla.com/question/46426/check-for-updates-setting/#post-id-46465 the checking should be done once a day. My settings and connection to internet are the same as yours and my Jolla is showing "8 hours ago".

I am not sure if we can take it as official answer. :) My feeling also was that "once per day" is kinda default setting. And I usually open the store at least once to check what new applications might be there. But then I deliberately did not open Store and I got to situation status screen reading - Last check: "2 days ago". So this might be possible bug.

My settings are also set to check updates "always" but I've also seen several times "Last checked: 2 days ago". So I decided to test is "2 days ago" maximum. Now, after a week not visiting the store, update shows "Last checked: 7 days ago".

I can confirm this problem with 1.1.2.16
